Andrew De Leon was an opera singer act from Season 7 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Vegas Round, but he returned for the Wild Card Show. He was later eliminated again in the Semifinals.

Background

Growing up, Andrew De Leon was a big fan of Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie. Listening to them was an escape for him, for he was an outsider. He felt alienated because he was not interested in athletics or other interests commonly followed. Andrew developed an interest in singing, but by his audition, he had never sung to anyone in public, including his family.

Audition

Andrew De Leon's audition in Episode 708 consisted of singing "O mio babbino caro." Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending him to the Vegas Round.

Vegas Round

Andrew De Leon was one of the Judges' Favorites in the Vegas Round. He was sorted into the "Opera Singers" category. His performance in Episode 711 consisted of singing an opera piece. At one point in his performance, however, he forgot the lyrics of the song and stopped singing even as the background music continued. His audition was not strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals, eliminating him from the competition in Episode 712.

Wild Card (Quarterfinals)

Andrew De Leon was brought back by Howie Mandel for the Wild Card Show. His Quarterfinals performance in Episode 724 consisted of singing a Spanish operatic version of "Unbreak My Heart." He received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 725 instead of Horse and Jake Wesley Rogers.

Semifinals

Andrew De Leon's Semifinals performance in Episode 726 consisted of singing "Ave Maria." He did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Finals, eliminating him from the competition in Episode 727 along with Academy of Villains, instead of William Close.
