Anna and Patryk were a ballroom duo from Season 5 of America's Got Talent. They were eliminated in the Quarterfinals, but they returned for the Wild Card Show. They were later eliminated again in the Finals.
Background[]
Anna and Patryk, whose full names are Anna Kaczmarski and Patryk Ploszay, have been dancing since they were five and six years old respectively, but they both had their beginnings separately. Patryk started to learn his first steps in Poland, while Anna got her first taste of dancing in New York. At the age of seven, Patryk and his family decided that they would relocate to America.
In the beginning, the two did not dance together so they went through a few other partners without much success. They finally decided to try dancing with one another, and soon realized their potential. Over the four years before their audition, they have enjoyed great success in dancing competitions and have won the Nationals for three consecutive years. They also represented the United States two times at the World Championships in Blackpool, England. Unlike many other couples they dance both Standard and Latin, which includes ten dances: the Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Cha-Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive. Both of them auditioned for America's Got Talent because they hoped to amaze all of America with their dancing, and hoped it would be one of the steps that would help lead them to their ultimate goal of becoming professional dancers. 1

Anna and Patryk's audition in Episode 504 in New York, New York consisted of ballroom dancing to "Just Dance." Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending the duo to the Vegas Round.
Vegas Round[]
Anna and Patryk were one of the Judges' Favorites in the Vegas Round. They were sorted into the "Kid Acts" category. Their performance in Episode 511 consisted ballroom dancing to "classical" music. Their performance was strong enough for the judges to send them to the Quarterfinals.
Quarterfinals[]
Anna and Patryk's Quarterfinals performance in Episode 519 consisted of ballroom dancing to "Candyman." The pair finished in either fourth or fifth place in America's Vote. In the Judge's Choice, Although Piers Morgan voted for them, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel both decided not to send it to the Semifinals, eliminating the act from the competition in Episode 520 instead of ArcAttack.
Wild Card[]
Anna and Patryk were brought back by Piers Morgan for the Wild Card Show. The pair's performance in Episode 523 consisted of ballroom dancing together to "Mas que Nada." Piers gave them a standing ovation. They received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 524 instead of RNG and The Hot Shot Tap Dancers.
Semifinals[]
Anna and Patryk's Semifinals performance in Episode 525 consisted of ballroom dancing to classical music and "Paparazzi." They received enough votes to be sent to the Finals in Episode 526 instead of AscenDance.
Top 10[]
Anna and Patryk's Top 10 Finals performance in Episode 529 consisted of ballroom dancing to "Sing, Sing, Sing (With a Swing)." At the beginning of their performance, however, Anna fell down some stairs, but she recovered quickly and acted as if nothing had happened. The judges praised her for her professionalism. Nevertheless, the pair did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Final 4, eliminating it from the competition in Episode 530 instead of Jackie Evancho.
After the Show[]
On the Season 5 Final 4 performance episode of America's Got Talent on September 14, 2010, Anna and Patryk performed in Episode 531 as one of six of the "hottest variety acts from America's Got Talent 2010."
Trivia[]
- Anna and Patryk were the only Wild Card act from Season 5 that had previously competed in the Quarterfinals to progress to the Semifinals.
- They have progressed the farthest of any ballroom dancers in the history of America's Got Talent, reaching the Top 10.
