Brian Justin Crum was a pop singer act from Season 11 of America's Got Talent. He finished the competition in 4th place.

BackgroundEdit

Brian Justin Crum was born in San Diego, CA and attending the School of Creative and Performing Arts. He left San Diego at 17 to join the cast of WICKED as the Universal Swing, performing in all of the US productions of the show. He moved to New York City shortly after and joined the cast of Altar Boyz (Mark) and Grease on Broadway. He then played the role of Doody on the first National Tour. He was a huge fan of the Broadways Next to Normal and dreamed of being a part of the show, that dream came true when he became the standby for Gabe and Henry. Next to Normal won the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Brian has starred in many regional productions including Tarzan, Jesus Christ Superstar and Snapshots, where he met his mentor Stephen Schwartz. He has performed along side Mr. Schwartz all over the country.

He toured with The Addams Family as Lucas Beineke and most recently as Galileo Figaro in QUEENS rock theatrical We Will Rock You. He sang with the original members of the band Brian May and Roger Taylor. We Will Rock You was written and directed by Ben Elton (writer of Mr. Bean). His performance won him a few Best Actor in a Musical awards and garnered reviews that called him "a Triumph". He is now living in Los Angeles pursuing a career in Pop music. He can be seen in the acclaimed For the Record series in West Hollywood playing Gatsby in the Baz Lurhman and The Athlete in Dear John Hughes. [1]

Brian Justin Crum's audition in Episode 1105 consisted of singing Queen's "Somebody To Love". Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes," sending Brian to the Judge Cuts.

Judge CutsEdit

Brian Justin Crum's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1109 consisted of singing Radiohead's "Creep". Howie Mandel, George Lopez, and Heidi Klum gave him standing ovations. Brian's performance was strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals instead of Madison Watkins.

QuarterfinalsEdit

Brian Justin Crum's Week 3 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1115 consisted of singing Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight". Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations. Brian received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 1116 along with Grace VanderWaal.

SemifinalsEdit

Brian Justin Crum's Week 2 Semifinals performance in Episode 1119 consisted of singing Tears For Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World". Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations. Brian received enough votes to be sent to the Finals in Episode 1120 instead of Calysta Bevier and Kadie Lynn.

FinalsEdit

Brian Justin Crum's Finals performance in Episode 1121 consisted of singing "Man In The Mirror" by Michael Jackson. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations.

FinaleEdit

For the finale in Episode 1122, Brian Justin Crum sang Radiohead's "Creep" again. Brian received enough votes to advance to the Top 5 instead of Laura Bretan. Brian finished in fourth place in the competition overall, in front of Sal Valentinetti but behind Jon Dorenbos, The Clairvoyants and Grace VanderWaal.
