CJ Dippa was a rapper and dancer act from Season 5 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Quarterfinals, but he returned for the Wild Card Show, where he was eliminated again.

Background

CJ Dippa is a boy from Denton, Texas (Now 18), with a love and passion for rapping and dancing. From the time he was three, he would move to the beat of music and even sing along to lyrics. CJ Dippa has always had an amazing faith in God and at age five, made the decision on his own to be baptized. When he was eight, he wrote his first rap entitled "The Playground." He made dance a part of his everyday life in everything he did from popping and locking while walking down the hall way at school, to waving and ticking in the grocery store line. He once said that one day he would want to be a famous rapper and dancer and he was definitely determined.

In third grade he started having dance and rap battles on the playground at school and was in his first talent show by the time he was in fourth grade doing a hip hop dance with his dance crew. No matter how many people have told him he can't or won't make it, he still continues to strive for what he loves. He's never let anyone bring him down but keeps his faith in God and in himself. In middle school, he created a dance crew named the G.I Jerks where he and a few of his friends would get together and makevideos of the now popular dance "jerking." Still bound and determined he went online searching for casting calls for America's Got Talent and has always wanted to audition for the show. He found auditions for Dallas and his goal was then to audition and to live his dream. From the words of CJ Dippa, "everything is just a dream come true." He also stated that "no matter who you are or what you do to reach for the stars and go for your dreams, because if you don't, then you will never know what could have been." 1
