Christian Guardino is from Long Island, New York. He was the 2014 Grand Prize Champion at The Apollo Theater’s “Amateur Night at The Apollo Stars of Tomorrow” category. He has performed at The Apollo’s Harlem Healthy Soul Festival (NYC), at The Circle of Sisters Expo 2014 (Jacob Javits Center-NYC), The Apollo Theater’s 2014 Holiday Show (NYC), The Many Colors of Soul 2015 (Santa Fe College-Gainesville, Fla), "World Tenors Unleashed" Workshop (NYC) 2015, The Hip Hop Public Health’s “Health in Key” Gala (Edison Ballroom 2015), The New York Stock Exchange Opening Bell Ceremony along with The Apollo representatives 2016 (NYC), as well as performing the national anthem at the NY Islanders playoff 2016 (The Barclay’s Center- Brooklyn, NY). Audition[]

Christian Guardino's audition in Episode 1203 consisted of singing The Jackson 5's "Who's Lovin' You". Moved by his performance, Howie Mandel pressed his Golden Buzzer to send Christian straight to the Quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals[]

Christian Guardino's Week 1 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1211 consisted of singing Ed Sheeran's "Make It Rain." Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations. Christian finished in sixth, seventh, or eighth place in America's Vote. In the Dunkin' Save, he received more online votes than Just Jerk and Yoli Mayor, advancing him to the Semifinals in Episode 1212.


Semifinals[]

Christian Guardino's Week 2 Semifinals performance in Episode 1219 consisted of singing Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On". Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations. Christian did not receive enough votes to advance to the Finals in Episode 1220, eliminating him from the competition along with Merrick Hanna instead of Angelica Hale.

After the Show[]

Christian auditioned for the 20th season of American Idol. He was eliminated at top 7. In 2023, he performed "New York, New York" prior to the main race of the 155th Belmont Stakes.
