D'Angelo and Amanda, as well as Ruby and Jonas, are coached by Manny and Lory, both coaches and dancers of the Miami All Stars of Season 6. They dance at their parents' dance studio in Miami Florida.

D'Angelo and Amanda dated three years prior to their audition, but they had broken up four times and were not in a relationship at the time of their audition. D'Angelo and Amanda came in 1st place on the dancing show "Live to Dance" in 2011. Amanda placed 4th on Season 1 of the show Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition.
