Destined 2 Be was a popping dance group act from Season 4 of America's Got Talent. It was eliminated in the Vegas Round.
Background
Destined 2 Be is from Indiannapolis, Indianna. The five men in the group had only danced together for two years by their audition. Will Adams, DeAndre Mays, Kevin Jackson, Emmanuel Carter and Brandon Resnover have performed at several competitions and events under the radar such as 106 and Park and the 2008 BET Awards. Even though the group believes they are talented, the troop felt that Indianapolis somewhat hindered them from getting where they are now.
The group expressed their concerns on the show, and even considered not dancing anymore. “In Indiana, it’s a real struggle for us and we just get shut down and slapped in the face so many times. All we need is one chance to show people what we can do,” said Will Adams.
Since their moment of fame, a few local groups responded to Adams’ comments hoping to change his feelings. The Indiana Pacers and the Indiana Fever invited the group to perform at the Conseco Fieldhouse. [1]
Audition
Destined 2 Be's audition in Episode 408 consisted of popping and dancing to Lil Mama's "Shawty Get Loose" as a group. Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and David Hasselhoff all voted "Yes", sending the group to the Vegas Round.
Vegas Round
Destined 2 Be was one of three dance groups selected in Episode 411 to participate in a challenge. Each group had 12 hours to rehearse a routine to the same music selection of the judges. Destined 2 Be's performance in Episode 412 consisted of dancing to a group to Flo Rida's "Jump." The group's performance was not strong enough for the judges to send it to the Quarterfinals, eliminating it from the competition that same episode along with U4RIA Dance Crew, instead of Breaksk8.
