Ciana Pelekai was a singer in Season 4 of America's Got Talent. She was eliminated in the Vegas Round. She returned in Season 8, four years later, where she was eliminated in the Quarterfinals.

Background[]

Her name meaning “God is Gracious,” Ciana Kamalu o‘nalani Pelekai was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her passion and love is singing. She has been singing since she was four years old and loves to perform. Ciana started taking vocal lessons at seven years old. Ciana has won several singing competitions in Hawaii, which include Hawaii Stars, Al Waterson and You singing competition and Brown bags to stardom.

In addition to performing, Ciana loves to give back to the community by singing at local charity events. To name a few, Ciana has performed for the National Kidney Foundation , Adult Friends for Youth Tour, Henry Weinberg Foundation Concert, American Heart Association and other non profit organizations here in Hawaii. Besides singing, Ciana loves acting, musical theater and bowling. She also enjoys just being a kid, riding her bike, going to the beach and hanging out with with friends. 1

Season 4 Audition[]

Ciana Pelekai's audition in Episode 410 consisted of singing "At Last." Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and David Hasselhoff all voted "Yes," sending Ciana to the Vegas Round.

Season 4 Vegas Round[]

Ciana Pelekai was one of the 25 acts eliminated in the first Vegas Round cuts in Episode 411, at the Las Vegas Airport.

After Season 4[]

In 2010, Ciana was selected as one of Maury's most talented kids and appeared on the "Maury" talk show where once again, she was able to showcase her talent. She has also had the opportunity to sing the national anthem in the infamous Staples Arena for a Clippers NBA game. More recently, Ciana was the winner for Hawaii's Spotlight vocal competition. 2 Eventually, she decided to audition again for America's Got Talent, this time for a completely different panel of judges.

Season 8 Audition[]

Ciana Pelekai returned in Season 8. Her second audition in Episode 804 consisted of singing parts of "Good Feeling" and "Something's Got A Hold On Me." Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending her to the Vegas Round.

Season 8 Vegas Round[]

Ciana Pelekai was sorted into the "Kid Musicians" category in the Vegas Round. Her performance in Episode 809 consisted of singing Etta James' "I'd Rather Go Blind". Her audition was strong enough for the judges to send her to the Quarterfinals along with Aaralyn & Izzy and Chloe Channell in the same episode.

Quarterfinals[]

Ciana Pelekai's Week 2 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 812 consisted of singing "Next to Me." Ciana did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 813, eliminating her from the competition along with Alexandr Magala, instead of Marty Brown.

After the Show[]

Ciana participated in the twentieth season of The Voice as a part of John Legend’s team, but was eliminated in the Knockout rounds.
