Dallas Dance Company was a dance group from Season 3 of America's Got Talent. It was eliminated in the audition round.

Background[]

Dallas Dance Company was created for the specific purpose of providing gifted dancers who have chosen professions other than dance with a venue through which to showcase their performance abilities. What makes DDC unique is the company members' belief in and dedication to the merits of dance education. The members of Dallas Dance Company possess a conviction that the lessons learned through an exposure to the field of dance are invaluable attributes for young people to acquire, and therefore, have dedicated their careers to imparting these characteristics to their students.

"Over 75% of our company members are either full-time dance instructors or are corporate professionals who teach on a part-time basis in the evenings," said Founder and Executive Director Michelle Davis. "They have devoted their lives to sharing their love and passion for dance with children, but they still love to dance themselves. This company has given those dancers the opportunity to perform without an overly demanding rehearsal schedule."

Classified as semi-professional, the troupe engages in intense weekly rehearsals, focusing primarily on the genres of contemporary and jazz dance. 1
