German Cornejo was born in Zárate, Buenos Aires Province on 31 May 1986. At the age of 10 he started studying Tango. At 15, he obtained a degree from Gatell Conservatory of Dance with the honorable title of Master of Tango. In the following years German broadened his skills by studying classical and contemporary ballet, jazz and acrobatic techniques & qualified as a Master of Choreographic Composition at the National Institute of Arts.
After seven gold medals obtained in a series of Contests for Youth in Buenos Aires Province, and more than 20 first prizes at national level, German became World Champion of Tango in 2005.
He has performed at many famous Tango houses in Buenos Aires including Mambo, Chiquin Buenos Aires and El Viejo Almacén. German has conducted dance demonstrations at some of the most important milongas in Buenos Aires; La Viruta, Porteño y Bailarín, Parakultural, Niño Bien and Confitería Ideal. He also performed for the President of Vietnam when he visited Argentina with the dance group “Sentimientos Tangueros”, under his own direction.
He was a dancer in the productions: Bien de Tango with the Orchestra El Arranque, Vamos al Tango with Osvaldo Berlingeri (which obtained 4 Starfish prizes), Tango por La Igualdad, Tango Inferno: The Fire Within and since 2006 he perform in Tango Fire: Flames of Desire. Currently he is the Director of Choreography and Lead Dancer in Tango Fire.
German has been choreographer for the show Mission Tango under the musical direction of Lisandro Adrover, performed in Brazil in El Viejo Almacén - On Tour together with Ariel Spandrio´s Orchestra and in Barcelona at the Grec Festival with the Erica Di Salvo Orchestra.
He has toured the USA, Canada, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Netherland, Switzerland, China , Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Philippines, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, the UK, Germany, and South Africa. 
German Cornejo Dance Company's audition in Episode 1206 consisted of dancing as a group to Otros Aires' "Barrio De Amor". Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes", sending the group to the Judge Cuts.
