Jonathan Allen was an opera singer act from Season 8 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the Semifinals.

Jonathan Allen, from Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, has been singing for as long as he can remember. He used music as a respite from the daily troubles of childhood and grew up liking classical music, especially Pavarotti. Jonathan enjoys playing piano and singing all styles of music. After coming out as gay to his family, Jonathan sadly learned that they would not support him, so he hopes that his "AGT" family and fans will appreciate him as a unique, standout talent. Jonathan hoped that if he won the million-dollar prize, he would open a safe house for youth in similar situations as him, to get the support and shelter they need. 1

Jonathan Allen's audition in Episode 802 consisted of singing "Time to Say Goodbye." Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending him to the Vegas Round.

Vegas RoundEdit

Jonathan Allen was sorted into the "Male Singers" category in the Vegas Round. His performance in Episode 809 consisted of singing "First Time I Ever Saw Your Face". Jonathan's audition was strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals in the same episode.

Jonathan Allen's Week 3 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 814 consisted of singing "The Impossible Dream." Jonathan received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 815 instead of Jim Meskimen.

Jonathan Allen's Week 1 Semifinals performance in Episode 820 consisted of singing "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables. Jonathan did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Finals in Episode 821, eliminating him from the competition along with Duo Resonance, instead of Forte.
