Sethward was a novelty act from Season 13 of America's Got Talent as Sethward the Caterpillar. He was eliminated in the audition round. Sethward returned for Season 14, where he was twice eliminated in the audition round having come as both Sethward the Giraffe and Sethward the Walrus. Sethward returned for Season 16, auditioning as Sethward the Peacock and performing in the Quarterfinals as Sethward the Phoenix, he was eliminated following the Quarterfinals. He returned in Season 17 as The Big Apple where he was eliminated in the auditions. He returned for America's Got Talent: All-Stars as Sethward the Goat where he was eliminated in the Preliminaries.
Background[]
Seth Allison grew up in a large Texas family in a small Texas town. He graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.A. in Media Production, accompanied by an emphasis in acting. Seth was the executive producer of "The Randumb Show," a sketch comedy program broadcast on local Malibu station 32. He's currently producing video content for various comedy channels including his YouTube which has over 20 million views. Seth resides in Hollywood California where you can catch him live in The Murge with his absurdist comedy troupe from The Idiot Workshop or on one of his improv teams, Interrobang‽ or Soda Jerk. Season 13 Audition[]
Even before Sethward began his audition in Episode 1303, the audience was quickly put off by his appearance and mannerisms, booing and jeering for him to get buzzed off. His act consisted of shedding from his caterpillar costume into one of a butterfly, portraying an actual caterpillar's metamorphosis. At the end of the act, unfortunately for Sethward, he "accidentally" exposed himself to the judges and the audience as there was a hole in his stockings. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all buzzed the act. All four judges voted "No", eliminating him from the competition.
After Season 13[]
Sethward made several more appearances on The Gong Show in the show's second season in 2018: the June 21 (as a walrus) and July 26 episodes (as a chicken). He was gonged twice: the first by Rita Wilson and the second by Lil Rey Howery. He appeared on the August 23 episode (as a cow) and got 26 points, finishing in second place behind Rose City Circus. He appeared again on the August 30 episode (as a bunny) and was gonged again by Rita Wilson.
Season 14 Audition[]
Sethward returned for Season 14. His audition in Episode 1403 consisted of first standing on stage dressed in a giraffe costume and telling a story about how he was dropped on his head at birth. Howie Mandel , Gabrielle Union , Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell all buzzed the act. While being dragged off the stage by Terry Crews, he then flashed the audience. The verdict was untelevised but all of the judges likely voted no eliminating him from the competition. Afterwards, he later returned to the stage dressed in a walrus costume in which he played with beach balls and rolled off the stage. Although Howie and Simon voted "yes," Gabrielle and Julianne voted "no," eliminating Sethward from the competition.
After Season 14[]
In 2018 & 2019 Sethward auditioned for Italian competition series Tu si que vales however he failed to reach the following round both times. Then he auditioned in Germany's Got Talent. He is also failed. He also auditioned for Czech Republic / Slovakia's Got Talent as both a Chicken and a Snake in 2019, yet failed to reach the live shows.
Season 16 Audition[]
Sethward returned for Season 16. His audition in Episode 1601 consisted of being a peacock. Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell buzzed the act. However, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, Heidi and Simon all voted "Yes", sending Sethward to the next round.

Sethward was chosen to advance to the Top 36.
Season 16 Quarterfinals[]
Sethward's Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1609 consisted of continuing his peacock act, then turning into a phoenix at the end to Katy Perry's "Peacock" and "Rise". Simon Cowell buzzed the act. He did not receive enough votes to advance to the Semifinals in Episode 1610, eliminating him from the competition along with Canine Stars instead of Gina Brillon.
Season 17 Audition[]
Sethward returned as "The Big Apple" in Episode 1708 and was buzzed by all the judges. He emerged from his apple costume dressed as a worm, and as Terry began to drag him off the stage, the bottom of his worm outfit came off to reveal him naked from the waist down, thereby flashing the audience and the judges and causing Terry to chase him off the stage. The verdict was untelevised but Howie voted "Yes" although Sofia, Heidi and Simon all voted "No", eliminating Sethward from the competition.
All-Stars Preliminary[]
Sethward's Preliminary performance in Episode AS06 consisted of performing as a goat with a backdrop of all his other costumes from the various seasons he's participated in, breaking Simon Cowell's buzzer (which counted as an official buzz) and microphone as well as a screen in the process. Simon pressed Howie's and Heidi's buzzers in an attempt to stop the act, but they didn't count. To finish the act, he gave himself the Golden Buzzer, which also did not count. He did not receive enough votes from the Superfans to enter the Top 3 of the night, eliminating him from the competition.
Trivia[]
- During his Season 16 audition, Sethward mentioned that he auditioned for the show four times, even though this was his third televised audition (he either auditioned during an unknown season and was not televised or he counted his Season 14 auditions as two separate auditions).
- Sethward is the first act since French Accent in Season 13 to advance past the auditions despite receiving more than one buzzer.
- Sethward is the first act since Aaralyn & Izzy in Season 8 to advance to quarterfinals despite receiving multiple buzzes in their audition
- Sethward is the only act to get buzzed in his Season 16 Audition but make the quarterfinals.
- Sethward was the first act to get buzzed in the Season 16 live shows.
- Sethward is the third of four televised acts who fell off the stage in his audition. The other three are Primitivo Montoya, Metatron and Keith Apicary.
- Sethward has the most eliminations in the audition round out of any act yet made the Quarterfinals in a later season.

- Sethward is the first act in auditions history to perform last and not advance when he was In his The Big Apple persona in Season 17 and was buzzed out, marking the first time in auditions history that an act that closes the show fails to advance.
- Across all the seasons that Sethward participated in, he was buzzed a total of 16 times, the most amount for an individual contestant in the show's history. Simon Cowell was the judge who individually buzzed him the most, with 6.
